Come Hang Out Ltd ("CHO", "we", "us") operates the CHO mobile app, which helps people find and join real-world hangouts near them. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
To create an account and use CHO, we collect:
- Account details — your name, email address, phone number, birthday, and gender.
- Profile content — your profile photo, if you add one.
- Location — your device's location, used to show you hangouts nearby and to set the location of events you create.
- Content you post — events you create, photos you upload, and messages you send in event chats.
- Activity — which events you join or host, and ratings or reports made about hangouts you were part of.
- Device information — a push notification token, so we can notify you about new messages.
How we use your information
- To show you relevant hangouts nearby and let others find events you host.
- To operate group chats for events you're part of, including push notifications for new messages.
- To enforce age and gender restrictions that a host sets on their own event.
- To keep the community safe — including a reputation system based on ratings from people you've met at events, and a reporting system for events or members that break our guidelines.
How long we keep your information
A hangout's photos and chat history aren't kept forever. Once an event has finished:
- Its listing photos and any photos shared in its chat are automatically deleted.
- A few days later, the chat messages themselves are automatically deleted too.
Your account information is kept for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app — this removes your profile, your events, and your message history immediately.
Who we share information with
We don't sell your information. To run the app, we use a small number of infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles account login.
- Cloudflare — stores and delivers photos uploaded to the app.
- Apple and Google — deliver push notifications to your device and host the app on their stores.
Other members of an event can see your name, profile photo, and anything you post in that event's chat — that's a normal part of how the app works.
Your choices
- Delete your account at any time from the app's settings — this is permanent and removes your data straight away.
- Leave or block anyone you no longer want to interact with.
- Report an event or a member that breaks our community guidelines.
Age requirement
CHO is only for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
